On November 26th, Mr. Joan Parpal, secretary general of Medcities and USUDS Project Leader participated in a Capitalisation seminar organised by the Joint Management Authority (JMA) of the ENPI-CBC-MED Program.
The aim of the seminar was to foster complementarities among the projects funded by this Program. This event was focused on projects dealing with Sustainable development and spatial planning and it is the third of its kind organised during the last weeks after the ones on Environmental challenges, held in Amman late October and on Culture and sustainable tourism held in Valencia the first week of November.
These meetings reinforce the willingness of the EC to promote best practices exchange and lessons learnt by projects tackling similar matters. Capitalisation has turned into a main priority for the JMA which considers that new projects should build on the experience of successful initiatives carried out in the past.
In the framework of the Med4Waste project, more than 50 participants took part in the project’s seminar entitled “Towards sustainable models of local governance for integrated and circular policies for urban waste management" that took place in Mahdia.
MedCities participated in the ENSERES capitalization event in Tyre and had the opportunity to share the outcomes with member cities in a fruitful visit with different Lebanese representatives.
A two day training was organized with Irbid Municipality in order to exchange and learn about the fundamentals of energy audit, which were the lessons learned from Irbid municipality when auditing their municipal buildings.
