During the 7th and 8th of April the USUDS launched the phase of definition of its action plan by undertaking a series of activities.

A meeting was held with the presence of the International Consultant of the USUDS project for Saida, Mr. Farouk Tebbal, the experts of the local team of USUDS, representatives of the municipal council as well as experts from the Knowledge Transfer Centre of Al Fayhaa and a member of MedCities team. The team worked on the methodology for identifying the action plan projects and for assuring the participation of relevant stakeholders and the society of Saida as well as the activities to be undertaken until the end of the project.

Furthermore, a public meeting was organised with relevant stakeholders on environmental issues and on urban infrastructure where the projects undertaken by the municipality of Saida were presented and some initial proposals were done for future projects to be included in the strategic plan of the city. The meeting, with a broad participation of different actors related to these sectors, led to a very vivid and enriching debate among stakeholders and the USUDS team and forms part of the public consultation activities that will be undertaken until the end of the project.
