ENPI – Supporting the Southern Neighbourhood Partnership cities in the implementation of Sustainable Urban Demonstration Energy Projects – 2014

The European Commission has launched a Call for Proposals worth a total of € 8.25 million for the regional programme “SUDEP – Sustainable Urban Demonstration Energy Projects”. The aim of the call is to enable local authorities in the region to address local sustainable development challenges related to energy.

 The specific objective is to contribute to:

  • the increase in energy efficiency, energy savings and renewable energy sources
  • the improvement of capacities of local authorities in the sphere of sustainable energy
  • the generation of a pool of demonstration actions which can be replicated by the region

This call is adressed to organisations such as local authorities (LAs), including Associations of LAs  or non-governmental organisation established in one of the ENPI South partner countries (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria and Tunisia) or in a Member State of the European Union (in this latter case, the applicant must act with a co-applicant that is a local authority from a ENPI South partner country)

Awards range from €200,000 to €1 million. Any grant requested must not exceed 80 per cent of the total eligible costs of the action.
