Under the Green Living Areas Thematic Community Project (TCP3) a consortium led by the Scientific Research Centre Bistra Ptuj (SL) will promote the exchanges and replicability of innovative solutions and tools of the future thematic projects within the green living areas mission. The project will foster and systematise technical knowledge from territories and practitioners from across the MED area. MedCities is leading the TRANSFER activities of the project and will focus on supporting the transferability of some of these solutions to territories of the MED region.

The Institutional Dialogue Partnership for Protecting, restoring and valorising the natural environment and heritage (Go4MED Nature) will support the effective cooperation of all stakeholders concerned by the Programme missions in the Mediterranean. The project will take best practices from the associated thematic projects and upscale to the Mediterranean and EU policy level, engaging with decision-makers and relevant authorities at the science-policy interface. In addition, through the global networks of the partners results will be showcased at the international level. Under the leadership of the Region of Crete and with partners including IUCN Mediterranean, UNEP MAP PlanBleu, the Marine Institute of Croatia, the Region of Sardinia and the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism of Montenegro, MedCities will lead the REUSE activities and will assure the local level engagement and perspective through the whole project. Member cities such as Marseille, Dubrovnik, Izmir and Sfax are among the project associated partners.

The 8 new Interreg Euro-MED Governance projects have been launched on 18th January in Marseille in an event focused on reaching a common understanding about the objectives and scope of all the projects, discussing joint initiatives such as communication campaigns and events, and fine-tuning the parallel work plans of the projects addressing the same programme missions.
