More than 11 cities, members of MedCities in Tunisia, participated in a seminar on the opportunities of funding through the ENI Programme which will be launched in the following months.
More than 20 people, mostly staff of international cooperation or financial departments of the municipalities, attended the training organised by the KTC of Sfax that took place last 21st September in Sousse.
The Programme Expert, Mr. Rafik Halouani, presented both the ENI Mediterranean Sea Basin and ENI Italy-Tunisia programmes, focusing on the objectives and priorities of the programme; the opportunities entailed for municipalities as well as the administrative and management issues that should be taken into consideration.
A representative of MedCities General Secretariat presented the priorities for the network as well as the type of the support that the network could provide to its cities members. The participants shared their concerns about participating in the programme and also their ideas and possible future projects.
Another seminar is to be organised on the 4th October in Tripoli, addressing the Lebanese cities of the network.
