MedCities and the Balearic Islands Maritime Cluster (CMIB) wish to invite relevant Catalan, Spanish and Mediterranean stakeholders of the fishery and aquaculture sectors to the final national event of the BLUEFasma project. The event will:

  • Present the project results and main policy recommendations.
  • Reflect and collect the stakeholders proposals for promoting blue circular economy, in particular in 4 main topics:
    • Fishing
    • Recreational fishing
    • Processing and Marketing
    • Maritime spatial planning and maritime strategies and impacts on fisheries and aquaculture

MedCities is a partner of the Interreg-Med project BLUEfasma, which integrates and implements Circular Economy (CE) principles in the key blue growth sector of fishing/aquaculture. Its overall objective is to empower the innovation capacity of SMEs, maritime clusters/networks, Public Authorities to boost blue CE growth in insular, island and coastal areas.   The project, running as from November 2019 to June 2022, brings together 14 partners from 9 Mediterranean countries.
