On January 20th, MedCities General Secretariat met in Barcelona with Mr. Mohamed A. Al-Halabi, Director of Internatoinal Cooperation of the Municipality of Gaza.
The meeting was the occasion to tackle possible ways of further cooperation and to identify the top priorities of the Municipality in order to boost projects within the framework of MedCities. Both parties agreed on the interest to study ways of cooperation in the field of technical assistance and capacity building and to promote cooperation between Gaza and other members of the network.
The General Secretariat informed Mr. Halabi about the process of constitution of the new association MedCities and the necessary procedures to adhere formally to the new association. Gaza has been member of MedCities since 1993.
A new resource hub developed by MedCities promotes sustainable and strategic public procurement across the Mediterranean.
