Within the framework of the Comunity 4 Living Areas, Interreg EURO Med project, MedCities, EMEA and IREC gather the many partners of the mission’s Thematic Projects to launch a Spanish Territorial Antenna of the mission Green Living Areas.
MedCities is in charge of the dynamisation of the session and has prepared a series of collaborative activities and co-design exercises to strengthen the links between the participants further and get them working together to find synergies.
What are Territorial Antennas?
The Mission for Green Living Areas is establishing a series of Territorial Antennas all over the northern shore of the Mediterranean. The idea is to create spaces for coordination and collaboration between all the partners involved in the Community at a state level. With the support of the Dialogue 4 Living Areas (D4LA) project, C4LA is leading this initiative with the overall objective of supporting the transfer of results and knowledge from the Thematic Projects and promoting their results, tools, recommendations and conclusions to all stakeholders willing to use, consult or learn from these results – whether they be within and outside the Community.
The launch of the State Territorial Antenna
The Territorial Antenna corresponding to the Spanish territory was launched on the 27th of March 2025 in València, with the logistical support of the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces and the MUSOL Foundation.
The event was the occasion for them to get to know each other and facilitate exchanges, encouraging collaboration between organisations and creating bonds for future synergies. It also contributed to the identification of the main products of the projects to foment joint actions and activities at the national level in relation to the production, dissemination, and/or public advocacy of results.
The participants also agreed on a common work approach, including a series of milestones and next steps to be followed by the organisations of the Territorial Antennas, and they came to understand the missions of the Territorial Antenna and its added value as a national coordination point for the Community to disseminate calls, results, solutions.
Participants from all over the State
The launch of the Territorial Antenna gathered 22 participants from entities all over the territory: the PLATONIQ Foundation, the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association, the European Centre of Companies and Innovation of València, the Energy Research Institute of Catalonia (IREC), Cinesi SL, the Polytechnical University of Catalonia, the Foundation Valencia Climate and Energy, the Consortium of the Ribera, the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, the MUSOL Foundation, the CIEDES Foundation, the Valenciaport Foundation, the Extremenian Energy Agency, and the Department of Infrastructures, Transport and Housing of the Government of Extremadura.
