MedCités soutient l'élaboration et la mise en œuvre de stratégies de développement urbain ainsi que d'autres projets urbains. Elle fournit à ses membres des ressources, une expertise et une assistance technique.
L’objectif principal de MedCités est la mise en œuvre de projets dans ses villes membres. Tous ces projets sont liés au renforcement des capacités, à l'assistance technique et au transfert de connaissances.
