Within the efforts to fight COVID-19 The Union of Dannieh Municipalities formed fourteen committees to deal with all aspects of the disease.
The union also signed a joint cooperation agreement with the University within the project “Balamand – My Life Against Corona” to conduct a comprehensive survey of the population about the symptoms of Corona and provide a free PCR examination according to the application diagnosis.

MedCities brings together 25 Mediterranean member cities in Tangiers to share experiences on youth employment, in the framework of the TT Emploi project. Also, MedCities held the annual General Assembly that sat together some of the members, online and on-site.
MedCities participated at the WUF UN Habitat12 held in El Cairo, which focused on localizing the Sustainable Development Goals, shedding light on the local actions and initiatives required to curb the current global challenges affecting the daily life of people, including unaffordable housing, rising living costs, climate change, the lack of basic services, and ongoing conflicts
MedCities joined the ANERIS Annual Meeting in Seville. The event convened 25 partners from 13 countries to advance collaboration on operational marine biodiversity (OMB) products and monitoring technologies and to review progress. MedCities’ role centred on integrating citizen science, notably through the Minka platform, which involves coastal cities in biodiversity monitoring.
