International Conference “Climate Neutral Blue Cities by 2030: Accelerating Local Change under the EU Cities and Ocean Missions”, which will take place on 19–20 March 2026 in Limassol, Cyprus, under the auspices of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026.
The conference will convene representatives of the European Commission, EU Mission Cities, national and local authorities, research institutions, industry, and civil society, to foster high-level dialogue, exchange best practices, and strengthen partnerships that support the transition towards climate-neutral, resilient, and liveable blue cities, with particular emphasis on port and coastal urban contexts.
Given the strategic role of the MedCities Network in promoting sustainable urban development, climate action, and cooperation among Mediterranean cities, we will participate by giving our insights about multi-level governance, adaptation and mitigation synergies, and capacity-building for cities facing shared climate challenges.
