As part of the TT Emploi project: Promotion and governance of local employment for young people and women in Tangiers and Tetouan, several concrete actions have been implemented to promote professional integration and entrepreneurship. Through strategic partnerships with local associations, innovative programmes have been set up in both cities, offering training and support opportunities to vulnerable groups.
Tetouan: Training and support for employment
The city of Tetouan has been the scene of two major initiatives aimed at meeting the employability and empowerment needs of young people and women:

  1. Training in sewing and soft skills
In collaboration with the Al Amal association, an accelerated three-month training course was provided, combining technical training in sewing with personal and professional skills development.
o Significant impact: 45 young people, 50% of them women, took part in the programme. The training provided the beneficiaries with the skills they needed to enter the job market.
o A lasting commitment: After the training, the Al Amal association undertook to support the young people in their professional integration through pre-employment internship contracts, thereby increasing their chances of success.
  2. Support for women’s green projects
Support for female entrepreneurship was also highlighted through a partnership with the AMDEF association and the Tétouan Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services. This programme supported 15 women with green projects, encouraging the emergence of sustainable initiatives.
o The participants benefited from tailor-made coaching aimed at structuring their ideas and developing their projects in a sustainable and environmentally-friendly way.

Tangier: boosting employability and encouraging entrepreneurship
In Tangier, the TT Emploi project has also made it possible to implement two major initiatives, involving young people and women in training and support programmes.

  1. Soft skills training for young people
In partnership with the Tanja Moubadara association, a three-month training course was organised to strengthen the soft skills of young unemployed people.
    * A huge turnout: 40 young people, 50% of them women, took part in the programme, divided into two groups: one trained at the Al Andalus library in Souani, and the other at the Bni Makada media library.
    * A step towards employment: This training enabled the beneficiaries to acquire essential skills for entering the job market and meeting employers’ expectations.
  1. Support for women’s green projects
In Tangier, a similar programme to support women’s green projects has been implemented, this time in partnership with the Association des Femmes Chefs d’Entreprises de Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (AFEM TTA).
    * Projects in the service of the environment: 15 women entrepreneurs were supported in the development of their ecological initiatives, benefiting from personalised coaching to help them turn their ideas into reality and contribute to the development of the green economy.

Promising results
The activities carried out as part of the TT Emploi project in Tétouan and Tangiers have been a resounding success, demonstrating the important role that local authorities can play in providing targeted support to enhance the skills of young people and women. Thanks to these initiatives, the beneficiaries now have concrete tools with which to meet the challenges of the labour market and actively contribute to the sustainable development of their regions. In this way, the project continues to lay the foundations for an inclusive and equitable professional future.
