Last 21st of July MedCities celebrated the first meeting of the new board of directors 2023-2026 which was approved by the members at the last Extraordinary General Assembly held on 31st January 2023. The meeting took place online and was chaired by the newly elected President, the mayor of Montpellier, Mr Michaël Delafosse. MedCities Secretary General, Mr Josep Canals, also traveled to Montpellier in order to meet the new President of the Association.
Several key issues related to the management of the organisation were discussed, such as the upcoming General Assembly of the Association, to be held in Sarajevo in November 2023, and the approval to subscribe to the Declaration of Bonifacio on the reuse of treated wastewater.

The MedCities Board of Directors for the period 2023-2026 was approved by the members at the Extraordinary General Meeting held online, on 31st January 2023. The composition of the current Board is as follows:
