The Cities 4 Global Health website is an initiative led by Cities for Global Health and co-led by Metropolis and the Euro-Latin-American Alliance of Cooperation among Cities, AL-LAs. This is part of the Live Learning Experience: beyond the immediate response to the outbreak, developed by UCLG and supported by UN-Habitat and Metropolis.

The muncicipality of Sfax has uploaded its plans in a useful document (French and Arabic versions).

The Municipality of Sfax in partnership with Terre d’asile Tunisie calls for solidarity with the migrant community living on the municipal area of ​​Sfax. This initiative comes following the containment measures adopted by the Tunisian state in order to fight against COVID-19 spread, resulting in migrants losing their sources of income and being in a very precarious situation. The Town Hall of Sfax and Terre d’asile Tunisie and call on all components of civil society, the inhabitants, Sfax investors and anyone sensitive to the situation of migrants who are vulnerable to join the solidarity movement that is being set up and support this initiative. For the first time in its history, the city of Sfax is carrying out a solidarity action of this scope in favor of Migrants despite the very difficult economic and social situation in the city and in the country. La Municipalité de Sfax  en partenaiat  avec L’association terre d’asile Tunisie , lance un appel à solidarité avec la communauté migrante vivant sur le territoire communal de Sfax.
Cette initiative vient suite aux mesures de confinement adoptées par l’état Tunisien afin de lutter contre la
propagation du COVID-19, suite auxquelles les personnes migrantes ont perdu leurs sources de revenus et se
trouvent dans une situation de grande précarité.

La Mairie de Sfax et Terre d’asile Tunisie et appellent toutes les composantes de la société civile, les habitants,
les investisseurs de Sfax et toute personne sensible à la situation des personnes migrantes vulnérables à
rejoindre le mouvement de solidarité qui se met en place et à soutenir cette initiative.

Pour la premiere fois dans sont histoire la ville de Sfax mene une action de solidarité  de  cette envergure en faveur des Migrants malgré la situation economique et sociale  trés difficile  dans la ville et au pays.
