Official Opening of a pedestrian walk to Mseilha Dam, built on the existing irrigation canals in Batroun Region (Lebanon)
With the objective to provide additional sport and leisure opportunities to tourist and citizens, the lebanese Union of Municipalities of Batroun – MedCities member- inaugurated last April 17th a new pedestrian trail. The footpad is built on top of the irrigation canal that links different towns from Batroun city to Mseilha Dam. The Dam, currently under construction, located on El-Jawz River, upstream of El-Mseilha Citadel, and is expected to serve in the future not only as a water reservoir but also as a touristic spot surrounded by restaurants and leisure activities. This action is part of the efforts of the Union to foster tourism activities which communicate and put in value the different municipalities in the Union.
