During this month we have been workin on:
– A capacity building cycle for our city members
– We have signed a new agreement with the Barcelona Metropolitan Area to follow up with our Mediterranean projects
– We participated at the IUCN World Congress as members of the Mediterranean Biodiversity Protection Community project from Interreg Med programme
– We did advance in BLUEfasma and InCircle projects as well
– We were in Saida with COHESIMED project
– And, among other news, we participated in the virtual workshop “OC-NET Ocean cities: challenges & solutions” from UN Oceans Decade
MedCities is one of the new beneficiaries of the City Climate Finance Gap Fund’s strand for the capacity development of regional or national networks of municipalities. MedCUC targets municipalities and local governments of the Mediterranean from countries covering 3 geographical zones.
MedCities recently had the opportunity to meet with the new Minister for the European Union and External Action of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Mr. Jaume Duch...
Following the 15th ARLEM plenary session held last November 2024, the Secretariat of the Euro-Mediterranean Regional and Local Assembly at the Committee of the Regions in which MedCities participated through its Secretary-General.
