Last 10th of October took place the 1st ProcuraMED international workshop in Brussels, to activate a mutual learning process based on the exchange of expertise and knowledge transfer on green innovation in the MED area and public tendering opportunities in the Green Living Areas. The workshop was part of the Interreg EURO-Med Green Living Areas policy dialogue. It was a good opportunity to share best practices, knowledge, and tools related to Green Public Procurement (GPP) and Public Procurement for Innovation (PPI).

The day before partners held the 2nd project meeting in IrRADIARE office in Brussels. ProcuraMED project aims to support the transition towards competitive, innovative, sustainable, and resilient ecosystems in the Mediterranean area, developing innovation capacities of enterprises and local authorities and enabling the uptake of advanced green technologies using Strategic Procurement Procedures. During summer MedCities collected the inputs of Catalan local public administrations and private companies on GPP and PPI. Based on the results of this survey and the upgrade of project tools on strategic procurement, a short training and mentorship programme targeting these stakeholders will be organised at the beginning of 2025.
