The objective of the session was to carry out a SWOT analysis in order to evaluate the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats of the current situation of Larnaca and the possible avenues through which it can pursue a particular course of action.
The Municipality of Larnaca and the Larnaca Local Team of external experts attended the meeting with the International Expert, which took place at Larnaca Municipality on 25th of April 2013.
The SWOT analysis is a strategic planning tool that involves specifying the objective of the project and identifying the internal and external factors that are favourable and unfavourable to achieving that objective. The Local Team presented the SWOT Analysis on the topics below:
1. Demographics;
2. Infrastructure;
3. Environment;
4. Economy;
5. Urban Planning.
