With the aim of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Barcelona Process (1995-2020), the Catalan Government and the European Institute for the Mediterranean (IEMed) co-organised a one-day online event where MedCities could present the A’SIMA Tunis project through its Secretary General, Mr. Josep Canals.

With the aim of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Barcelona Process (1995-2020), the Catalan Government and the European Institute for the Mediterranean co-organised a one-day online event: “Localising SDGs in the Mediterranean, partnerships for a sustainable transition“. Mr. Josep Canals, MedCities’ Secretary General, presented the A’SIMA Tunis project objectives and activities during a panel on “Multi-level, effective and participative policies in the Mediterranean”. Mr. Canals mentioned how the A’SIMA Tunis is an excellent example on the localisation of SDGs through multi-level governance and participative strategies, aiming to “leave no one behind”. Indeed, the project mainstreams all 17 SDGs, with a particular focus on SDG 11, 12 and 17.
