The second part of the capacity building cycle organised by MedCities has started during this month of June. This cycle started with twelve online sessions, divided in three different topics of high relevance for our members: environmental management, municipal solid waste management, energy efficiency and mobility. Although these sessions ended last April, you can find their contents available for you in MedCities’ Youtube channel, which we invite you to check here.

After such sessions ended, MedCities members who wished to keep working on one of the topics applied to become part of a mentoring process. These mentoring processes have started during this month of June, and three municipalities per each one of the four topics are benefiting from it. During this process, each municipality will get to work hand to hand with an expert on the topic, who according to the current status and characteristics of the municipality will recommend a set of possible actions to be taken in order to enhance the management of the municipality in relation to the topic. The municipality will then select one priority action that will be developed in a concept note. This concept note will serve both as a guidance document for the municipality, or as a small project to be developed if funding opportunities become available.
