Signature of a memorandum of understanding between the Mayor of Tetouan and the president of the Dannieh Municipalities Union (Lebanon).

In an official reception in honour of the President of the Dannieh Municipalities Union (Republic of Lebanon) Mr. Mohamed Saadieh, the Mayor of Tetouan (Marroc), Dr. Mohamed Idaomar, held a working meeting in December 2017 at the presidential seat, in the presence of the deputy mayors Ms. Amina Ben Abedelouahab, Ms. Amina Bourjila and Mr. Hamid Damoun, the councilors Said Muslim and Abdelkarim Zakaria and the director of Common Services as well as with chiefs and officials of the Tetouan City Council.

During this meeting, the two local governmets signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at improving the cooperation and exchange of experiences in various areas related to local management both in the Tetouan Municipality as well as in the Dannieh Municipalities Union.

During the meeting, the Mayor of Tetouan appreciated the excellent qualities of his guest emphasizing the great international prestige of President Mohamed Saidia, which is nominated to an international prize of Transparency. Also, through the MedCities association, strong bonds were forged between the two presidents, which allowed them to have a common vision of the challenges faced in order to develop both regions productively, especially in providing opportunities for young people, job creation, fostering tourism and promoting commerce.

In turn, the President of the Dannieh Municipalities Union, underlined the importance of settling new basis for a solid cooperation between both entities, praising the character and the capability of the Mayor of Tetouan to preside MedCities and become a relevant international actor in our Mediterranean region, stressing the desire of both parts to develop friendly and brotherhood ties which gathers the two brotherly countries, in order to achieve the goals and be successful in the sustainable development of the cities involved.
