The summer break was necessary to start another September full of training activities in Agadir and Zarqa.

In this sense, in Agadir, in addition to resuming training for women with content on commercial communication and sales techniques, team management and product quality, we have started an accelerated green entrepreneurship program for a group of 13 young people, and we have included two extra activities linked to reflection on the climate crisis. An awareness-raising session on the climate challenge, with the participatory methodology of the Fresque du Clima, where through a shared reflection on how and why climate change occurs, the workshop has made it possible to create an open and positive reflection on potential solutions and actions that can be taken. In the same way, a visit to the equipment of the desalination plant and the water treatment plant in Agadir is planned in October to reflect on the use of water in domestic and professional activities for some of the women participating in the training.

At the same time, in Zarqa, 20 women are being trained in e-marketing and social media communication, complemented by a module to consolidate their knowledge of their businesses’ legal and financial management. Likewise, 20 young men and women are being trained in social innovation and green entrepreneurship to lead and drive economic and social growth sustainably and equitably. These trainings also help the trainers identify the people who will benefit from the mentoring program planned to finish the LASERMED support.

Likewise, together with our facilitator of the LASERMED community and our technical and financial partner, the Diputació de Barcelona (Provincial Council of Barcelona), we are preparing the next online session of the community to continue working on proposals and presenting innovative solutions available to Mediterranean municipalities to support an inclusive and green local economy for the benefit of all and the planet.
