All trainings foreseen in Agadir and Zarqa have come to an end this month of October. Today, more than 60 women and 30 youngsters in Zarqa and Agadir are more prepared to develop a green business project. They made extra efforts in Agadir, including two extra activities: a field visit to the Aouir Water treatment plant and an environmental workshop after this field visit. In parallel, both local coordinators are in the final selection phase to choose the mentees to accompany during November and design a communicative action.

Besides, MedCities and Barcelona Provincial Council co-organised a second online workshop on exploring the social and solidarity economy as a tool for the social insertion of vulnerable populations and to boost green and circular economy projects. The workshop has been a dialogue between the el Prat de Llobregat and the Santa Coloma de Gramenet officers, and the general director of Rubricatus foundation working on labor insertion of disabled adults, with the officers of MedCities members belonging to the LASERMED Community (Assalt, Agadir, Sousse, Zgharta-Ehden, Zarqa). The discussion focused on how a Municipality with few resources can impact socioeconomic development with a green perspective. The results of this exchange have been gathered to develop the Capitalisation Guide that we will present in December.

Second community meeting:

David Sánchez from the provincial Council of Barcelona (Diputació de Barcelona)
